All water sports are highly thrilling and lots of fun, and all of them offer a very convenient and relatively very safe way to travel at high speeds and pull off impressive moves. However some water sports definitely have specific advantages over others and there are definitely some reasons you might particularly be fond of one particular type of water sport. Barefoot waterkiing is just such a water sport – it comes with all the benefits you would normally ge from a water sport but with the added benefits of its particular nature – there are many reasons why water skiing without skiis is so much fun and so practical. Here we will look in more detail at the perfect experience of barefoot water skiing.

The world is rushing past you at incredibly high speeds. This is true of any water sport and it's one of the only ways to go at such speeds while being removed from a vehicle. Sure you could match this speed in a car, but that is very different from being completely opena dn exposed as you are in water sports – being tugged behind a boat with only your clothes to protect you. And barefoot water skiing is far more high speed than the other watersports too and will see you travelling up to speeds of 35-40 miles per hour – much faster than you would travel were you wakeboarding or water skiing on regular waterskiis. This is simply because it is just your feet that are touching the water and this means that there is much less surface area to help you balance on the water. That then means that you necessarily have to have your boat going at a faster speed if you are to generate enough speed to keep yourself upright and on top of the water rather than being dragged straight through it – which guaranteed would not be as much fun.

At the same time when you are going at these high speeds, despite being exposed to the open air around you, you are nevertheless particular safe. This is because you are surrounded by the softest landing you could ask for – water – as opposed to something like snowboarding where you could still conceivably break your limbs if you fell. And again barefoot waterskiing takes this one step further – as there is also no board for you to hit if you were to fall, or to make it more difficult to swim back up to the top – you fall over and you're just floating safely in the water until you swim to safety – there's really no risk attached.

On top of all this the fact that you are barefooted means that you are far more connected to the water around you. It's a great feeling to have the water rushing under your feet, and it also makes the achievement more your own – you can't put it down to having a great board or good skis.
This is what it feels like to barefoot water ski, but it doesn't acknowledge all the other great benefits of this kind of watersport – the fact that it's so easy to get started and the fact that it's so much cheaper with no board or fins or strapping to buy.

Barefoot waterskiing is a truly great experience and one of the most fun and practical watersports out there. For more on barefoot skiing, click on either of the links.
